Are you looking for water “soluble” CBD?
CBD cannot be totally water-soluble because of its an oil. It is however possible to create a micelle so small that it will be disbursed in water and impossible to see. This is what we do! Using a high pressure homogenizer and a proprietary emulsion we are now able to create for you, our customer, CBD with the particle size of 12 to 14 nanometers.
Micelles Size CBD
Our scientists have created sophisticated micelle-sized CBD droplets, which we use in topicals, cosmetics, supplements, food, and beverages. Our micelle CBD droplets are 100% natural – just smaller, only 12 to 14 nanometers (nm) in size. Derived from organic hemp, our raw materials are GRAS (generally regarded as safe) and non-GMO, and best of all, there is no polysorbate 80, a common artificial preservative. We offer our micelle-sized CBD under the tradename CBDroplets.
Just How Small is a Nanometer?
In the International System of Units, the prefix “nano” means one-billionth, or 10-9, therefore one nanometer is one-billionth of a meter. It’s difficult to imagine just how small that is, so here are some examples:
- 100,000 nanometers, the thickness of a sheet of paper
- 2,000 nanometers, the size of a phytocannabinoid particle
- 100,000 nanometers, the size of a red blood cell
- 5,000 to 17,000 nanometers, the size of a white blood cell
- 60-80 nanometers, the particle size that cells can absorb
- 12-14 nanometers, our micelle-sized CBD, CBDroplets
Increased Efficacy = More Sales
Would you agree that if you increase the efficacy of your product that you will sell more of it? If people really feel the effect that you are promoting, wouldn’t they be happier with their investment in your product? Even if they take fewer milligrams of CBD, they get more amazing effects!
Easier to Digest
Not only can your customers take less CBD per dose, but their digestive system also doesn’t have to work so hard digesting it.
The digestive system only utilizes about 10% or less of normal-sized CBD because the body simply cannot absorb it. Taking normal-sized CBD causes the liver to work harder to utilize the CBD and reduce its size to under 60-80 nanometers. This is because the human red blood cell is about 100 nanometers, and it can only absorb droplets that are smaller itself. Typically red blood cells can only absorb about 10% of the CBD ingested.
Bioavailable CBD
By reducing the size of our CBD to 12 to 14-nanometer micelle droplets, we have effectively increased the potential bioavailability by about ten times (1000%). This is because about 95% of the CBD micelles can now be absorbed directly by the cells. It’s the same 100% natural CBD, just smaller. We didn’t alter the molecular structure of the CBD in any way.
High Quality CBD Products
We only use CBD derived from reputable US hemp farmers that have a transparent chain of custody, ensuring that our raw material is organic and non-GMO. We only use thoroughly tested processing ingredients, and we perform comprehensive finished goods testing to ensure that you’re getting a high-quality product.
Higher Quality Ingredients
To create the tiny micelles, we add MCT oil, vitamin E, sunflower, and olive oil, among other food-grade ingredients. We only use food-grade, non-GMO, GRAS ingredients.
WARNING: We do not advise using ingredients that are not designated GRAS.
High Quality Equipment
The only safe way to create tiny CBD micelles is with high-pressure homogenizers such as the advanced equipment we use. We marry the technique with high-quality emulsions created from tested raw materials.
WARNING: Be very careful not to use CBD liposomes or micelles created by ultrasonic machines. This type of processing causes tiny little particles of heavy metals to disburse into the product. The heavy metals (titanium and more) are so small that it is difficult to filter them out of the CBD after processing.
New Players in the CBD Business are Better at SELLING than MANUFACTURING!
Our family of companies has been manufacturing high-quality supplements since 1993. Our sister company Pure CBD is UL certified and a member of the Natural Product Association. We use the same Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) system when manufacturing CBD in Pure CBD Production.
cGMP Systems
You cannot create a high-quality product without vigilantly enforcing all of the following:
- Quality tested raw materials
- Quality tested equipment
- Quality tested systems of operation
Quality does not exist without those three components. Even if a company states that it is GMP certified, this may not be true. Don’t believe that they are certified unless you have seen proof that the facility has gone through an independent audit. This is especially true when you consider that the CBD industry is still new. The growing popularity of CBD has attracted many manufacturers that have little understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing food and supplements safely.
GMP is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimize the risks involved in any pharmaceutical production that cannot be eliminated through finished goods testing.
GMP covers all aspects of production from the raw materials, premises, and equipment to the training and personal hygiene of staff. Detailed written procedures are essential for each process that could affect the quality of the finished product. There must be systems in place to provide documented proof that correct procedures are consistently followed at each step in the manufacturing process. Following the manufacturing standards is essential every time a product gets made.
Water-Soluble CBD
CBD oil in its natural state is not water-soluble. To create water-soluble CBD, the CBD oil is reduced in size and suspended in a liquid. It’s important that the suspension liquid is clean, non-GMP, and GRAS and that the molecular structure of the CBD is unaltered.
Is it Natural?
These molecules are all-natural, just made 100 times smaller. The molecular structure of the CBD is unaltered. Our organic hemp-derived CBD and other raw materials are non-GMO and GRAS.
There is no need to be alarmed over the size of our CBD – it only enhances absorption and means less work for the liver to process. Naturally occurring nanoparticles exist in nature, such as in volcanic ash, ocean spray, fine sand and dust, and even biological matter. However, this area of science still needs more research.
Crossing the Blood-Brain Barriers
Micelles need to be below 200 nanometers to cross the blood-brain barrier. However, crossing both the transdermal skin barrier and the blood-brain barrier takes more than just small micelles. The particles must be in a solution that reduces agglomeration (clumping of micelles) and allows free absorption through both layers on the skin (epidermis and dermis) for proper transdermal delivery. The solution should be food-grade, non-GMO, and GRAS, which is what we have!
